CWE HOME

Child Welfare & Education:

Child Welfare & Education (CWE Home) is a non-profit non-government organization (NGO) (Gov. reg. no. 2206 and SWC affiliated no. 27932) which provides residential and emergency shelter service for economically deprived children. In addition to lodging, we also provide food, education and health care in a home atmosphere where love, hope and security are key elements. These elements are crucial for children to become happy individuals. This is why CWE seeks to provide a family-type environment. Our house feels like a real home and provides opportunities for children five to sixteen years of age. These children are either orphans or disadvantaged for other reasons. They may be abandoned, helpless, or from poor families. We help children who are underprivileged, needy, or those who suffer from abuse or negligence.
Our objectives are to:
1. Provide a quality education in an atmosphere where love, affection, care, and support are key elements.
2. Provide a healthy and secure home environment with nutritious meals, health care, and hygiene training.
3. Promote the rights of children by supporting local and international children's organizations and coordinating joint efforts with other government and non-government organizations, sponsors and supporters.
4. Provide a safe play area where the children can have fun and develop proper social interaction skills.
5. Teach our children proper morals and values based upon: human kindness, compassion, trust, integrity, humor, knowledge and above all RESPECT! In this way we provide the children with a new perspective of the future, and inspire them to achieve their goals in life.
6. Create opportunities for life-long self sustainability through education and training. We support our children after they leave our home by providing financial assistance with higher education.
7. Help women and children who are suffering economic hardship in life by furthering their social, educational and intellectual development.
8. Provide a better life for the elderly who are economically challenged through financial assistance and skill training. We seek to provide them with the means to live independently, and the opportunity to become self-supporting.
Our long-term goals include owning our own children's home, and school building. We also plan to develop a separate facility for providing health care. career training, and rehabilitation for handicapped individuals and those who are chemically dependent. Furthermore we want to establish a workplace for handicraft activities and a store where we can market local products.
